Is there parking at Union Chapel?

Union Chapel doesn’t have its own car park or disabled parking, but Blue Badge holders can park:

  • On yellow lines where there are no loading restrictions for up to three hours, providing the clock card is displayed and set to your time of arrival. Please note anyone can park on single yellow lines from 6.30pm onwards (unless it is an Arsenal Home Match).

  • In resident bays, and pay and display bays for an unlimited time.

There is a short stretch of single yellow line at the front of the Chapel on Compton Terrace and more at the rear of the Chapel on Compton Avenue. There are many residents bays and some pay and display bays on Compton Terrace.

For full details please visit the Islington Council website.

What time do doors open?

Doors will open at 7pm, 1 hour before the advertised show start time.

Are there bean bags at this event?

Nope! Romeo+Juliet is a stand alone show by Backyard Cinema and is not held at our home venue. Please do not confuse our general website with this event. Union Chapel is a working Church (a beautiful one at that) so the seating for this event is traditional Church pews. Seating is not allocated, so we would always recommend arriving early, particularly if you are attending with a larger group size.

Are there any matinee performances of Romeo+Juliet?

There are no matinee performances of Romeo+Juliet. All shows are scheduled to start at 8pm on the dates listed.

Is Union Chapel wheelchair accessible?

Yes, it certainly is! Please ensure that you contact [email protected] for assistance with wheelchair access before or after making a booking. For any other access requirements, please also contact [email protected] for further assistance ahead of your event.

I require a carer and have a valid CEA or PIP letter as evidence of providing personal care. Can I get a free Carer’s ticket?

Yes, you can! Please apply the code CARERTICKET in the code box ahead of selecting tickets. This will allow you to add one free ticket alongside at least one full-priced ticket. If you do have any additional access requirements, you must contact [email protected] in advance of your event.

I have rescheduled tickets from a previous run of Romeo+Juliet but cannot make the new date I was given.

Exchanges from previous bookings can be requested via www.seetickets.com/customerservice only. Please do not contact Union Chapel or Backyard Cinema directly to request an exchange. Exchanges will only be honoured/processed where there is availability, and cannot be guaranteed. You must contact See at least 7 days before your booked event to request an exchange.

I have a voucher code from a previous Romeo+Juliet show, how do I use it?

Monetary vouchers from previously booked tickets can be redeemed on the final payment page of the booking process. Please refer to your voucher email from See Tickets which provides more information on how to redeem your voucher correctly. If you cannot find this email, please head to www.seetickets.com/customerservice to get in touch, allowing 72 hours for a response.

I can’t make my booked event due to an emergency. Can I get a refund?

Backyard Cinema operates a strict no refund policy. However, there are various circumstances which would deem you eligible for a refund if you have opted in for TicketPlan protection when purchasing. Please find the full terms and conditions HERE.

To request a refund with TicketPlan you must either visit www.ticketplangroup.com/refund-application-form and complete an online refund application form, or write to them at TicketPlan Limited, Evolution House, New Garrison Rd, Southend-on-Sea, UK, SS3 9BF in order to request a refund application form as soon as reasonably possible after becoming aware of circumstances that may lead you to request a refund.

If you have not opted in for TicketPlan, we can look to offer you an exchange providing you give at least 7 days notice before your booked event, subject to availability.

Do I need to print my tickets?

No, you do not need to print your tickets at home providing that you are able to display them on a device (your mobile phone is great!). Your tickets will need to be scanned on entry, so please ensure you have them ready on arrival.

Is there an age restriction for this show?

All attendees must be 12 years of age or older, in accordance with the age certification of the film. Anyone under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult (18+). The venue reserves the right to ID anyone who looks under 16 without an adult, and you may be refused entry if you are unable to provide this when requested.
