A good question! No… you do not require a ticket! In fact, we actively encourage you to make the most of our food and drink offerings at the venue, regardless of whether you have a cinema ticket. We don’t take table bookings, but you’re welcome to rock up within our opening hours if you fancy somewhere different to enjoy a drink or two! Good vibes guaranteed!
When we open a new experience, the opening week will consist of ‘preview shows’. They are essentially the same, but they allow us to decide whether we need to make any small tweaks to the experience (you probably wouldn’t notice these changes, but they make a big difference for our team operationally). Due to this, you’ll notice that ticket prices remain the same across all seats, and are at a slightly reduced rate.
Unfortunately we are unable to offer refunds on any tickets purchased. If you wish to enquire about exchanging your tickets please head to the See Tickets customer service portal HERE, then sign in using your reference number and postcode/telephone number.  

If you don’t have these details to hand, then please use the ‘Forgotten your details?’ option and enter the email address used when booking. Once signed in, you can submit a ticketing enquiry using See’s contact form. We strongly advise using the contact form rather than live chat. It makes it easier for their team to track any previous correspondence.

Please allow 3 working days for a response. If the date of your booking passes, See Tickets will still be able to assist you as long as your initial contact was in advance of your show.

Alternatively, you are able to pass your tickets to a friend or family member. If you do sell your tickets, you will not need to change the name on the tickets… please just ensure the attendee has a digital or physical copy and is aware of the full name/reference number on the tickets.

Absolutely, Capital Studios is fully accessible. The venue has wheelchair accessible toilets, accessible lift and a dedicated team on site who are available to assist throughout your visit.

We understand that this may not be suitable for most wheelchairs. We deeply apologise for any inconvenience this may cause, and are working towards making our summer themes as accessible as we can.

Additionally, we offer carers tickets free of charge – when booking your chosen date, please use the code CARERTICKET before selecting your seats. Each Carers ticket will need to be purchased with at least one other full price ticket. When arriving on the day, we will ask to see a valid CEA or PIP letter as evidence of providing personal care – if you are unable to provide this, we may refuse you entry or ask you to pay the full admission price for that section.
There is no venue-dedicated parking, unfortunately. NCP Wandsworth Southside 1 & 2 are in close proximity to Capital Studios:

We’re a 10 minute walk from Wandsworth Town station, which is served by South Western Railway and has direct connections with Waterloo, Vauxhall and Clapham Junction stations. Alternatively, you can take the District Line to East Putney station, from which we’re a 20 minute walk from, or a 10 minute bus journey; taking the number 337 or 37 from East Putney (Stop EA) to Armoury Way (Stop E).
Not a problem! Troxy has a lost property department who you can contact on [email protected].

Any unclaimed items will be taken to local charity shops after two weeks. Items such as wallets, passports, and driving licences will be held for a longer period but will eventually be passed on to the police or relevant issuing authority.
Troxy is a cash free venue. Cash will not be accepted at any of their bars or box office, so be sure to bring along a card!
Yes, provided you have other proof to allow entry.

If you don’t own a smartphone or a computer, there’s still a way to report and get proof of a negative NHS Rapid Lateral Flow Test by telephoning 119 – this phone number is in your test kit’s instructions as well – and they’ll tell you your options.

Please check with them before you visit and leave enough time before the start of the event to obtain the result.

Please use the NHS COVID Pass to show your vaccination status using the NHS website to download it as a PDF or get it sent to you in an email. You can also get a paper version (2 weeks after having a full course of the vaccine) sent to you in the post. You do not need to be registered with a GP surgery or have an NHS login for this. You can get a letter (within 5 working days) by requesting a COVID Pass letter online or calling NHS 119.

Troxy cannot accept vaccine cards issued at vaccination centres as proof of vaccination.

Due to Troxy being a larger venue, you will be asked for the following upon entry:

  • proof of negative test (for example NHS Rapid Lateral Flow)
  • natural immunity (positive PCR within the previous 10+ to 180 days)
  • proof of double vaccination


The easiest way to gain entrance is via the NHS COVID Pass via the NHS app. This will be reassessed regularly. If you have any questions surrounding this, please feel free to contact the venue directly at [email protected]
Refunds are not permitted. If you are unable to attend due to Covid-19, please get in touch with [email protected] who will be able to assist you with exchanging your tickets into an alternative date.  
From the date of purchase you are subject to a 5-day cooling off period, during which you can freely exchange your booking into a new show with availability. So, if you made an error in your booking, all you need to do is get in touch with the ticketing provider ([email protected]) and they will be able to assist.

Please note that the 5-day cooling off period is not applicable if the booking is made for a show within the next 7 days.

This fast-moving celebration of the festive season is bound to get you on your feet and bring you closer together. Join us on a journey of festive nostalgia through the eyes of award winning musical wordsmith George the Poet. With a season of iconic Christmas movies to choose from and live music performances of the movie soundtracks performed by the Some Voices choir. The only way to celebrate Christmas in London this Winter.
We highly recommend that you use public transport when travelling to Troxy.

If you have no other option but to drive, there is a 24-hour car park next to Cineworld at West India Quay, run by Indigo Park Services. From there, you can get a taxi or catch the DLR at West India Quay (two stops). The nearest hotel, the Holiday Inn Express at Limehouse, is just 300 metres away and has secure parking. We recommend booking in advance at JustPark who also have other options, as do Your Parking Space.
Troxy is located in East London, a mere 15 minutes from central London’s Waterloo station.

Absolutely! We have a food court with perfect patties and rosemary chips from Honest Burgers, plus our very own Backyard Pizza. We don’t take table bookings for food/drink but there’s plenty of space to enjoy your pre or post film feast.
Afraid not, although you will be delighted to know we have a range of traditional cinema snacks on offer as well as a fully licensed bar selling beer, wine, cocktails and soft drinks.

Our LA Nights experience closes on the evening of the 26th September, and reopens as The Winter Night Garden on Monday 18th October.

Our Miami Beach experience closes on the evening of the 3rd of October, and reopens as The Snow Kingdom on Monday 25th October.

This means that the whole venue is closed between the evening of the 3rd of October through to the 18th of October, as we’ll be deep in our build ready to reopen with our Winter Experiences. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

We love to surprise and delight our audience at Backyard Cinema, so we won’t give too much away!
Unfortunately, Covid caused some closures of our venue over the last year (boo!) Many of our audience opted for credit on their booking so that they could rebook when they felt ready to return to the cinema. Since last year, prices for our Winter Experiences at Backyard Cinema have risen slightly (due to some exciting new additions), meaning that we unfortunately are unable to easily transfer your booking straight into this year’s shows.

Fear not! The quickest way for us to sort this is for you to rebook tickets for either The Winter Night Garden or The Snow Kingdom this year, then quickly provide your new reference number to See Tickets using the contact form on their Customer Service portal, here. They can then refund your original order in full (this includes any add-ons you may have purchased at the time).

We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause, but this is the best way to make sure that you don’t miss out on this year’s Winter/Christmas adventures at Backyard Cinema… tickets can sell out fast!

We certainly do! All you need to do to claim your 25% off discount is enter the code THANKYOUNHS in the discount code box located above the ticket options. Make you sure to do this before selecting your tickets otherwise the discount will not appear. You must only apply the discount to the relevant tickets.

You will then just need to show your NHS ID card along with your ticket when you get to the Box Office.

Sure, we love kids! We offer kid’s tickets for under 12s, and babies younger than 18 months don’t require a ticket. You will need to check the rating of the film, and obviously, they won’t be allowed to drink alcohol – our bar staff will be checking ID all night. We love seeing kids watching old classics like The Goonies, or Back to the Future for the first time.

Please note that anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

Doors to your pre-show experience will close 30 minutes prior to your film starting, so we advise planning ahead to arrive well in advance of that to avoid problems if you’re running behind.

Please note that once the film starts, that you may be refused entry to your screening entirely (depending on the location of your seats) or held back to enter at a particular moment to avoid the disruption of other guests. Backyard Cinema cannot be held responsible for guests’ travel or accommodation arrangements and are therefore unable to refund bookings where a customer misses part or all of the experience due to lateness.
Unfortunately not! Live Music features every Friday and Saturday evening in our Studio Bar. Remember, you don’t need a cinema ticket to come and enjoy the good vibes. We have a fully stocked bar as well as a variety of hot food and snacks on offer. Come and join us!

Dogs are welcome in our bar and yard area, but unfortunately they cannot be taken into our experience or screening areas.  
There is an allocated smoking area outside of the cinema. If you want to smoke you can pop outside – just make sure you keep hold of your ticket so you can come and go as you like.
While dressing up as a character from the film is always welcomed (and encouraged!), there is no enforced dress code.
This will of course vary depending on what you have elected to see! Please check the run time of your film (stated on the website) if you are concerned about your homebound journey. A quick web search of the run time of your film is always an easy way to check, too!

When you arrive at Capital Studios, please head to the Main Reception (on 13 Wandsworth Plain) where you will be directed to our Cinema Box Office. Please ensure you follow our one way system around the venue, which will be clearly sign posted throughout.

Once you have received your Backyard Cinema passes, you will prepare to enter your show. Remember, we have lots of surprises up our sleeves, so don’t be late! We strongly advise arriving at least 60-90 minutes before your show start time.

We’re a 10 minute walk from Wandsworth Town station, which is served by South Western Railway and has direct connections with Waterloo, Vauxhall and Clapham Junction stations. Alternatively, you can take the District Line to East Putney station, from which we’re a 20 minute walk from, or a 10 minute bus journey; taking the number 337 or 37 from East Putney (Stop EA) to Armoury Way (Stop E).
