Unfortunately we are unable to offer refunds on any tickets purchased. If you wish to enquire about exchanging your tickets please head to the See Tickets customer service portal HERE, then sign in using your reference number and postcode/telephone number.

Absolutely, Capital Studios is fully accessible. The venue has wheelchair accessible toilets, accessible lift and a dedicated team on site who are available to assist throughout your visit.

We understand that this may not be suitable for most wheelchairs. We deeply apologise for any inconvenience this may cause, and are working towards making our summer themes as accessible as we can.

Additionally, we offer carers tickets free of charge – when booking your chosen date, please use the code CARERTICKET before selecting your seats. Each Carers ticket will need to be purchased with at least one other full price ticket. When arriving on the day, we will ask to see a valid CEA or PIP letter as evidence of providing personal care – if you are unable to provide this, we may refuse you entry or ask you to pay the full admission price for that section.
There is no venue-dedicated parking, unfortunately. NCP Wandsworth Southside 1 & 2 are in close proximity to Capital Studios:

We’re a 10 minute walk from Wandsworth Town station, which is served by South Western Railway and has direct connections with Waterloo, Vauxhall and Clapham Junction stations. Alternatively, you can take the District Line to East Putney station, from which we’re a 20 minute walk from, or a 10 minute bus journey; taking the number 337 or 37 from East Putney (Stop EA) to Armoury Way (Stop E).

Absolutely! We have a food court with perfect patties and rosemary chips from Honest Burgers, plus our very own Backyard Pizza. We don’t take table bookings for food/drink but there’s plenty of space to enjoy your pre or post film feast.
Afraid not, although you will be delighted to know we have a range of traditional cinema snacks on offer as well as a fully licensed bar selling beer, wine, cocktails and soft drinks.

We certainly do! All you need to do to claim your 25% off discount is enter the code THANKYOUNHS in the discount code box located above the ticket options. Make you sure to do this before selecting your tickets otherwise the discount will not appear. You must only apply the discount to the relevant tickets.

You will then just need to show your NHS ID card along with your ticket when you get to the Box Office.

Please note that NHS discount must be applied at the time of purchase and cannot be refunded once the booking has been made.

At current, we’ll only be accepting contactless payments for food and drinks throughout the venue, in order to minimise human interaction and possible contact. So remember to bring your contactless card with you!
Sure, we love kids! We offer kid’s tickets for under 12s, and babies younger than 18 months don’t require a ticket. You will need to check the rating of the film, and obviously, they won’t be allowed to drink alcohol – our bar staff will be checking ID all night. We love seeing kids watching old classics like The Goonies, or Back to the Future for the first time.

Please note that anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

No, we fully encourage you to protect the trees and keep your tickets on your smart device, where a member of our Box Office team will scan your ticket from your device on arrival.

All tickets need to be pre-purchased online through our website – the one you’re on now! Simply select the theme you’re interested in from the ‘What’s On’ menu, choose your film and select which ticket option is best for you. More details around selecting the best ticket option for you can be found in the next FAQ below.
Think you’ve left something at our venue, or lost something during your visit? Our team completes a full sweep of the space after each show and we will hold on to lost property for a limited period of time. Please use our contact form below to get in touch with our team.
Dogs are welcome in our bar and yard area, but unfortunately they cannot be taken into our experience or screening areas.  
There is an allocated smoking area outside of the cinema. If you want to smoke you can pop outside – just make sure you keep hold of your ticket so you can come and go as you like.
While dressing up as a character from the film is always welcomed (and encouraged!), there is no enforced dress code.
This will of course vary depending on what you have elected to see! Please check the run time of your film (stated on the website) if you are concerned about your homebound journey.

When you arrive at Capital Studios, please head to the Main Reception (on 13 Wandsworth Plain) where you will be directed to our Cinema Box Office. Please ensure you follow our one way system around the venue, which will be clearly sign posted throughout.

Once you have received your Backyard Cinema passes, you will prepare to enter your show. Remember, we have lots of surprises up our sleeves, so don’t be late! We strongly advise arriving at least 60-90 minutes before your show start time.

In line with Government guidance, the relaxation of most existing COVID-19 restrictions will go ahead in England as planned from Monday 19th July.

Backyard Cinema will be opening back up to full capacity from this date and we will be removing our social distancing measures within the venue.

We will, however, continue to implement the following measures to help keep our audience and staff safe:

  • One-way systems throughout
  • Readily available non-contact sanitising stations
  • Increased cleaning schedule
  • Ventilation of the space to improve air flow
  • A mixture of both table and bar service where appropriate
  • Contactless payments for food & drinks
  • Temperature checks at the door
  • Screens to separate seating throughout our indoor bar area


Although it is no longer a legal requirement for our audience to check-in as a guest, we will continue to have our QR code at the door should our audience wish to use the NHS Track & Trace service.

The government recommends that people wear face coverings in crowded areas. Our staff will continue to wear masks around the venue however we understand that this is no longer a legal requirement.
